Cartofi taranesti/Rustic potatoes

This recipe is an “invented” one with what I had available in the fridge.

Diced potatoes (half the height of the 5.7l slow cooker)
A large onion sauteed in a cube of butter
3 garlic cloves crushed 
Smoked gammon cut into cubes and fried a little bit in a pan
A bunch of fresh parsley
Spices to taste and a cup of tomato sauce
Parmesan (about 100 gr)
At the end, green onions and extra Parmesan cheese.

Put all the ingredients from the beginning in the ceramic bowl of your Crock Pot slow cooker  and  set the pot for 3.5 hours on high  or until the potatoes are ready. The time depends a lot on the variety of potatoes but also on the slow cooker used.

Aceasta reteta este una “inventata” cu ce aveam disponibil in frigider .

Cartofi taiati cubulete ( jumatate din inaltimea vasului ceramic de 5,7l )
O ceapa mare calita intr-un cub de unt
3 catei de usturoi pisati
Gammon afumat taiat cubulete tras putin in tigaie
O legatura patrunjel proaspat
Condimente dupa plac si o cana de sos de rosii scazut
Parmezan ( aproximativ 100 gr)
La final ceapa verde si extra parmezan.

Toate ingredientele le-am pus inca de la inceput in vasul ceramic al slow cooker-ului Crock Pot si am setat oala pentru 3,5 ore pe functia high sau pana cand sunt gata cartofii. Timpul depinde foarte mult si de soiul cartofilor dar si a slow cooker-ului folosit.
