Pickled cabbage dish/Varza acra calita





 Ingredients:

  • 600 gr of pickled cabbage;
  • 1 onion;
  • 1 carrot;
  • 400 g of pork meat;
  • 1 can tomato in its own juice;
  • 1 tablespoon lard;
  • spices at choice: salt, pepper, thyme (very little as it will greatly enhance its taste), smoked paprika;
  • 1 bay leaf.

Season the pork meat , cut into cubes and fry it for a few minutes.

Saute the chopped onion and carrot in hot lard and along with the rest of ingredients place them in the ceramic bowl of your slow cooker and set it for 6 hours on high.

It works great served hot with roasted romanian “mamaliga” and hot chilli peppers.

Ingrediente:

  • 600 gr varza murata
  • 1 ceapa
  • 1 morcov
  • 400 gr pulpa de porc cu tot cu soric
  • 1 conserva rosii in suc propriu
  • 1 lingura ulei/grasime
  • condimente dupa plac: sare, piper, cimbru(foarte putin pentru ca-si intensifica foarte tare gustul) ,boia de ardei afumata, 1 foaie de dafin.

Carnea de porc  condimentat,se taie cubulete si se trage in tigaie in propria grasime. Ceapa si morcovul ras se calesc in ulei si impreuna cu restul ingredientelor se aseaza in vasul ceramic al slow cooker-ului Crock Pot cu Autostir de 5,7l(click aici) si se seteaza oala pentru 6 ore pe functia high . Eu am conectat si paletele incorporate ale slow cooker-ului deoarece este o mancare “scazuta” , fara prea multa zeama si cu timp de preparare destul de indelungat. Daca nu detineti acest model, puteti amesteca la jumatatea timpului sau puteti adauga apa/zeama de oase.

Merge de minune, servita cu mamaliguta prajita si ardei iute.
